A Homepage Checklist for Service Businesses
A Homepage Checklist for Service Businesses
Your homepage does not need to tell the entire company story. It needs to earn enough confidence for the right visitor to take the next step.
State the value early
Say who you help, what you help them achieve, and where you work if location matters. Replace internal language with the problem a customer recognizes.
Show proof near the claim
Use reviews, relevant projects, years of experience, certifications, or a concise process. Proof should support the promise, not sit alone at the bottom of the page.
Make contacting you easy
One primary call to action, clear contact details, and a short form are usually more effective than several competing buttons.
Respect mobile visitors
Check that the opening message, proof, and action are readable and usable on a phone. If the page fails this test, it is losing opportunities before a person can call.

Hi, I'm Jared Hooker, and I have been passionate about coding since I was 13 years old. My journey began with creating mods for iconic games like Morrowind and Rise of Nations, where I discovered the thrill of bringing my ideas to life through programming.
Over the years, my love for coding evolved, and I pursued a career in software development. Today, I am the founder of Hooker Hill Studios, where I specialize in web and mobile development. My goal is to help businesses and individuals transform their ideas into innovative digital products.
